Federal Recreation Pass Program

More than 375 million Americans visit Corps lakes for recreation purposes each year.  One quarter of them come to fish.  Others come to camp, hike, hunt and view wildlife.  Recreation use fees collected help offset operating and maintenance cost at Corps facilities, to ensure public demand for high quality recreation opportunities is met.

The Federal Recreation Pass Program offers discounts for use fees.  In the Louisville District the following Federal Recreation Passes are applicable:

Annual Day Use Passes are for day use facilities at any Corps of Engineer operated site where fees are charged. The pass expires one year from date of purchase.

America the Beautiful Pass* provides access to more than 2,000 recreation areas managed by five Federal agencies, with up to 100% of the proceeds being used to improve and enhance visitor recreation services. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers began issuing America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Interagency Passes Jan. 1, 2016 at its lakes' recreation projects.

Visitors to many of the Louisville District's lakes' recreation projects will be able to purchase or obtain the following interagency recreation passes: Interagency Senior Pass; Interagency Access Pass; Interagency Annual Pass; Interagency Military Pass; Interagency Every kid in a Park 4th Grade Pass; Interagency Volunteer Pass

For more information on the America the Beautiful passes, visit http://store.usgs.gov/pass/annual.html, or phone 1-88-275-8747, option 3.

*The America the Beautiful Pass replaces the Golden Age and Golden Access passes. Persons who currently have the Golden Access Passports should retain those passport cards until they are worn or lost - do not discard the Passports as they are still applicable where accepted for the recreation use fee discounts. Customers may also opt to exchange, at no cost, the Golden Access Passports for a new America the Beautiful Access Pass at any location that issues the Passes.
