Established in 1886, the Louisville District employs approximately 1,300 people in the five-state area of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio out of 60 field offices.
The civilian workforce is made up of professional engineers, architects, planners, economists, biologists and other specialists and support staff.
The mission of the Louisville District is to deliver solutions and manage resources supporting regional and national requirements through an expert team of multidisciplinary professionals utilizing best engineering practices and strategic partnerships to reduce disaster risk, strengthen the economy and support national security.
