Rough, Nolin, Barren and Green River Lakes Campground and Boat Ramp Closure Updates

GREEN RIVER AREA, BEE SPRING, KY. —

Campgrounds operated by the Corps of Engineers at Rough, Nolin, Barren, and Green River Lakes remain closed for the season following the re-opening of government offices.  The status of day use areas and boat ramps is listed below.  

Barren River Lake: Bailey’s Point, The Narrows, and Beaver Creek campgrounds are closed for the season.  Day use areas and boat ramps at Port Oliver, Peninsula, Beaver Creek, The Narrows, Browns Ford, and Bailey’s Point are open.  The Overlook near the dam and Quarry Road are also open.  The Tailwater is open for primitive camping.  Barren River State Park facilities are open

Green River Lake: Holmes Bend, Pikes Ridge and Smith Ridge campgrounds are closed for the season.   Wilson Creek campground is open.  Boat ramps at Holmes Bend, Smith Ridge, Site One and the Tailwater are open.  Pikes Ridge boat ramp is closed for the season.  Green River State Park facilities are open

Nolin River Lake: Moutardier, Wax and Dog Creek Campgrounds are closed for the season. Wax and Dog Creek Campgrounds were closed September 22nd. Day use facilities at Moutardier and Wax boat ramps are open.  Iberia, Dog Creek, Van Meter and the Tailwater boat ramps are open. Nolin State Park facilities are open.

Rough River Lake: Axtel, Laurel Branch, North Fork and Cave Creek Campgrounds are closed for the season. Axtel and Laurel Branch boat ramps will remain open until winter pool level prohibits use.  North Fork boat ramp and the Tailwater Recreation Area are open.  Cave Creek boat ramp is closed.  Rough River Lake State Park facilities are open.
