Ohio River Greenway project reaches new milestone for New Albany and Clarksville, Indiana

Two ceremonial groundbreakings took place in Clarksville and New Albany, Ind. on Aug. 26 to mark the initiation of construction of two segments of the Ohio River Greenway project that will soon be under construction.

The New Albany segment will be a 0.75-mile stretch of access that will run eastward along the levee from East 18th Street to Silver Creek.

The new Clarksville segment of Ohio River Greenway access will progress from Ashland Park, just east of the Falls of the Ohio Interpretive Center, east toward the Marathon Property.

Construction is expected to start in September and be completed next spring.
