LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- After Jan. 1, 2008, contractors QBS and T&T for the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers will be conducting construction activities at Carr Creek Lake in the vicinity of the Carr Creek Marina recreational area. The marina area is located off Kentucky Highway 15, approximately one and a half miles west of Kentucky Highway 1231. 

The work will involve installation of stone protection along the shoreline of the lake and modifications to drainage pipes, sidewalks and other areas within the recreational area. Weather permitting, the work will be completed by early February 2008. The contractor will install temporary safety fencing along the access ramps to the marina, docks and fishing pier. The facilities will remain open during the period of construction, however, for safety reasons, the facilities will be closed for short periods when the contractor is operating equipment at those locations.

Visitors to the Carr Creek Lake Marina recreational area should observe all posted signs and safety barriers throughout the construction period.
