Harsha Lake Master Plan

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is in the process of updating its 1973 Master Plan for William H. Harsha Lake located in Clermont County, Ohio.

A Master Plan is the document that conceptually establishes and guides the orderly development, administration, maintenance, preservation, enhancement, and management of all natural, cultural, and recreational resources of a Corps water resource project.

Public input is critical in the Master Plan update process. The previously scheduled meeting that was to be held March 19 was cancelled due to public safety concerns over COVID-19. USACE Louisville District has extended the public comment period until July 30, 2020 and will be hosting a virtual workshop to provide the public with an opportunity to comment.

The public is invited to join USACE for a virtual public meeting to provide input on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 beginning at 6:00 p.m.(EDT). To participate in the virtual public meeting log in at: https://usace.webex.com/meet/glenn.b.myrick and enter your name and email address. For the presentation’s audio portion, call 866-434-5269, Access code: 4144803 security code: 1234.

Instructions for web access and phone-in are also available at: www.lrl.usace.army.mil/Miami-River-Master-Plans/. On that site, the public can also fill out a questionnaire to provide their comments. Another option is to provide feedback via our public comment tool. The app allows feedback to be left easily from a cellphone or computer. Simply drop a pin on the map marking the area the comment applies to and click submit. Check it out here: https://qrgo.page.link/MGKeA
