The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District and the U.S. Army Reserve 88th Readiness Division celebrated the opening of a new Tactical Equipment Maintenance Facility (TEMF) on the Yakima Training Center in Yakima, Washington, May 19, 2023.

The 29,000 square foot TEMF for Equipment Concentration Site 10 will serve as a tactical equipment garage where members of the Army Reserve and contractors will be able to repair and service military equipment such as light trucks, bridge boats and tactical vehicles.

The new state-of-the-art facility has double the capacity as the Army Reserve's old facility at Joint Base Lewis McChord in Pierce County, Washington.

"Capacity has gone up," said Commanding General for the 88th Readiness Division Maj. Gen. Matthew Baker. "The technology - everything is new and modern."

The Louisville District managed the construction of new $22 million facility, which was completed in April and turned over to the 88th Readiness Division May 1.
