LOUISVILLE, KY. – Due to ongoing repairs, the auxiliary (600 ft.) lock chamber at Newburgh Locks
and Dam on the Ohio River will be closed Wednesday, October 17, 2018, for approximately four
hours from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to allow the contractor, Q.B.S., to transport concrete across the
auxiliary chamber miter gates. The concrete is being used for repairs of the primary (1,200 ft.)
chamber floating mooring bitts.

Because the primary chamber is closed, this will be a total river closure during this time.
