Regional and Programmatic General Permits

Regional and Programmatic General Permits, referred to as RGP’s and PGP’s respectively, are issued for certain types of relatively minor construction activities. The Corps will determine if a RGP or PGP is applicable to a project when

1. the activities are similar in nature and cause minimal environmental impact (both individually and cumulatively), and

2. the general permit reduces duplication of regulatory control by State and Federal agencies.

If your proposed work qualifies for use of a RGP or PGP, the Corps will help verify this and will issue you an authorization to use the Permit.

Information for these general permits can be found in the links below.
