Prescribed burn at Caesar Creek Lake
On March 7, 2016, park staff and Ohio Division of Wildlife personnel conducted prescribed burns on three of the native tall grass prairies at Caesar Creek Lake, Waynesville, Ohio. Prescribed burns are a way to combat invasive species and reforestation while also helping to keep the soil healthy. These ecosystems are designed to burn with plant species having specific adaptations to survive fire.
