Col. Leonard visits Brookville Lake
On April 2, 2013, Louisville District Commander Col. Luke Leonard visited Brookville Lake, Brookville, Ind., where he got a glimpse of the walleye egg-taking process. This tank outside the Mounds Egg Taking Station is where the fish are kept before and after the spawning process. Brookville Lake is the brood stock for walleye in all waters managed by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR). From left to right are Jeff Malwitz, IDNR fisheries biologist; David Johnstone, Brookville Lake supervisory natural resources project manager; Dennis Weber, IDNR Recreation Specialist; Col. Luke Leonard; and Tom Carr, IDNR wildlife specialist.
