2019 Cardboard Boat Regatta

Rough River Lake, KY. — The Rough River Lake U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Friends of Rough River Lake would like to invite the community to take part in the Seventh Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta on Saturday, June 22nd.

Come out and take part in this fun filled event. Registration begins at 10:00am and the event starts at 11:00am. Get ready to test out your boat building skills by building a boat out of cardboard and tape.

Then get prepared to race your boat at North Fork Beach. Trophies will be awarded to first place winners in each class. There will also be three additional trophies given to the best decorated, most entertaining and the Titanic (most likely to sink).

All boats will be inspected prior to racing. Judges reserve the right to disqualify boats for violations of the rules. Their decision will be final with no appeal. Please remember to have fun and use your imagination.

All participants must provide and wear their own lifejackets. They will be tested to make sure they fit.
