Rough River Lake Dam flood risk to be discussed during public meeting June 29, 2017
ROUGH RIVER LAKE, KY. — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District will host a public meeting to discuss the flooding risks for residents on the Rough River, downstream from the Rough River Lake Dam, Falls of Rough, Kentucky.

Rough River Dam has been identified as “High” risk, and is currently undergoing remedial construction. The ongoing construction timeline and activities will be discussed as well as how this impacts the flooding risks to downstream residents. Following the presentation, engineers from the Louisville District Corps of Engineers will be available to answer questions for those who live along the Rough River near the following communities, including (but not exclusively): Beaver Dam, Hartford, Narrows, Dundee, and Horse Branch.
